THE investigation into Heath Ledger’s death has been officially closed, with the US Attorney’s office revealing it will not interrogate Mary-Kate Olsen.

People reports that the probe was closed without any charges being filed.
Olsen, 22, was subpoenaed by a federal grand jury on April 23, but her attorney had been in negotiations with federal authorities since then, the source says.

First we heard that Mary-Kate and Heath were dating for about 3 months before he died. Then we heard that the housekeeper who found the body of Ledger first called Mary-Kate 3 times before she called 911. After those calls Mary-Kate sent her security guards to Heath’s apartment. And now that the police wants to talk to Mary-Kate, she doesn’t want to talk unless she gets immunity from prosecution.
What’s going on?
First medical officers said that Heath’s dead was caused by an accidental overdose of painkillers and sleepingpills. Just a couple of days before his death he told the New York Times that he was having trouble sleeping due to his roll as The Joker in The Dark Knight. Now Drug Enforcement Administration investigators suspect that the painkillers were obtained with fake prescriptions…
Mary-Kate’s attorney Michael Miller has issued the following statement=
“Despite tabloid speculation, Mary-Kate Olsen had nothing whatsoever to do with the drugs found in Heath Ledger’s home or his body, and she does not know where he obtained them. Regarding the government’s investigation, at Ms. Olsen’s request, we have provided the government with relevant information including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Mr. Ledger’s death and the fact that Ms. Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Mr. Ledger consumed. “
