Tuesday, September 30th, 2008Amy Winehouse did it again
Tuesday, September 30th, 2008Amy made a horrible fool of herself -again- earlier this week in Mayfair.
”The singer was at the Berkeley Square Ball in Mayfair to provide backing vocals for her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield. But onlookers were shocked at how out of it Amy was, and the audience at the charity bash cringed as she grabbed and hugged Dionne as she tried to perform. The pair were joined on stage by a live band and one of Amy’s backing singers for the three-song set. We’re told: ‘It was tragic - she seemed totally wasted. She was jumping all over Dionne as the poor girl tried to sing for the crowd. Amy didn’t really sing a single note - it sounded more like she was grunting down the mic.’ She then roamed from table to table, demanding to meet famous people. Sugababe Heidi Range was sent to talk to her but couldn’t keep her attention long. Our spy said: ‘Amy was then asked to pose for the event’s official photographer, but flipped and tried to headbutt him. She looked like a woman possessed.’ But backstage things took a turn for the worse. Our spy adds: ‘Amy collapsed backstage in tears. She kept saying, ‘Life can’t go on, I can’t do this’.”
And this is Amy arriving home from that performance:
Would Getting Wrinkles Scare You Into Getting Plastic Surgery?
Tuesday, September 30th, 2008Here’s a shocker: It seems that the majority of women nowadays live in fear of wrinkles. They dread the horrible day when laugh lines stick around long after a joke has been told, or when the “elevens” worry lines between brows turn up even when not crunching numbers or trying to figure out how to work the allegedly “intuitive” iPhone. This fear of wrinkles has led to a willingness to subject oneself to cosmetic enhancements—last year alone, 11.7 million Americans had a cosmetic procedure! That’s more people than there are in the entire state of North Carolina!

Heath Ledger’s entire estate goes to his daughter
Monday, September 29th, 2008After months of discussions and meetings about Heath’s estate, his family finally decided it would be the ‘right thing to do’ to leave his 20 million dollar estate to his daughter Matilda Rose.
Originally the will had all the assets devided between Heath’s parents and sisters (Heath wrote his will before his daughter was born), but now they are giving it all up for Matilda Rose.
Last august, Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Collin Farell, who completed Heath’s last role in The imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, also donated their salaries to Matilda Rose.
Heath Ledger died in January of an accidental prescription pill overdose.
Japanese fashionshow shows diapers for seniors
Monday, September 29th, 2008At a fasionshow last week in Japan, ‘models’ were wearing … diapers.
Yes, diapers.
With this show, organisator Kiyoko Hamada wanted to take the diaper for seniors out of the taboo atmosphere.
”A lot of people are ashamed of needing diapers for seniors. There is no need to. They should be able to talk about it without feeling stupid.”
In the catalogue of the organisator visitors can have a look at the different diaper models, from the simplest one untill the ‘luxury antibacterial diaper’.
In Japan, 25% of the population is 65 or older. Because of this fact, more and more people are in need of diapers. The market of senior diapers in Japan gains up to 110 billion yen every year (= seven hundred and ten million euros or approximately one thousand million dollars).

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds married
Sunday, September 28th, 2008According to People Magazine, Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds got married yesterday, the 27th of September, in a small private ceremony in Vancouver.
Just last month, Scarlett told the press they wanted to take their time with the engagement; probably to throw the world off on their bigger plan.
“We’re just enjoying our time. We’re just recently - very recently - engaged. So, you know, we’re just taking it easy. And no big plan yet. But it’s a good time, and we’re just… enjoying our time to be young and engaged. I mean, I’m 23. There’s no reason to rush into it. Everything feels very natural and relaxed.”
The couple had been engaged since May 2008.
Congrats!
